Man arrested for theft

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 8, 2022, the man entered a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham and was observed removing a product from the shelves and leaving without attempting to pay for the item.

As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On September 25, 2022, at 4:01 p.m., the police located the man at an address on Michener Road in Chatham and arrested him.

The 37-year-old Chatham-Kent man was transported to police headquarters and charged with theft and possession of stolen property.

He was released on conditions and a future court date of November 7, 2022.

Man arrested for impaired driving

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 25, 2022, at 6:23 p.m., the police responded to a traffic complaint on Longwoods Road in Camden Township.

It was reported the vehicle was all over the roadway.

The police arrived in the area, located the vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop.

The officer believed the man was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and he was arrested.

The man was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.

A 61-year-old Windsor man was charged with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He has been released with conditions pending a future court date of October 17, 2022.

Man arrested on a DNA warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night at 9:11 p.m., while investigating a matter on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg, the police located the man.

Through investigation, police learned the man was wanted on an outstanding DNA warrant.

The man was arrested.

The 22-year-old Chatham man was transported to police headquarters, the DNA warrant was fulfilled, and he was released unconditionally.
