A Terry Fox Run held at St. Elizabeth Catholic School in Wallaceburg earlier this month has been deemed a success.
The run was organized by Clare Quinlan, a teacher at the school, and Stacy Shepley, principal at the school.
“We split our donations between the local Wallaceburg Terry Fox Run and our Online School Terry Fox account that we set up through the organization,” Shepley told the Sydenham Current.
“We raised a total of $1,000.”
Shepley said $520 will go to the school’s Terry Fox Run, while $480 will go to the local Wallaceburg Terry Fox Run.
“Special thanks to Brad and Moira Eggett from New Vision who donated a number of items to make our run more exciting, (including) stickers, signs and t-shirts to raffle off,” Shepley said.
