Woman arrested for assault with a weapon

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 26, 2022, at 12:54 p.m., police responded to Old Glass Road in Wallaceburg to investigate a disturbance.

Through investigation, police learned the woman and her ex-partner engaged in a verbal argument.

The argument escalated when the woman threatened to harm the man and presented a knife. The man left the area, and the woman used the knife to slash the tires on his vehicle.

The 45-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon and mischief under $5,000.

She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of November 7, 2022

Man arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 9:03 p.m., the police conducted a traffic stop on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.

Upon speaking with the driver, police learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.

The 26-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released with a new court date.

Man and woman arrested on outstanding warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 26, 2022, at 11:01 p.m., police responded to a Forhan Street address in Wallaceburg for a noise complaint.

Upon arrival, police located the man and the woman outside the residence and learned they were wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The 32-year-old Ontario man was arrested and transported to police headquarters.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The 36-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested on an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) warrant.

She was later released on the OPP’s behalf with conditions and a future court date.
