Man arrested for theft

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11:16 a.m., police responded to a business on Wellington Street West in Chatham for a theft investigation.

Through investigation, the police identified the man and located him a short distance away.

He was arrested and transported to police headquarters.

The man was also bound by conditions outlined in a probation order.

Police also learned there were ground to arrest the man for criminal harassment from another investigation.

The 26-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with criminal harassment, theft, possessing stolen property and a breach of probation.

He was held pending a bail hearing.

Man and woman arrested for domestic offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 1:45 p.m., police responded to an abandoned 911 call on Thomas Avenue in Wallaceburg.

A man and woman were heard arguing before the phone disconnected.

Police arrived at the address and found the man and the woman.

Through investigation, police learned the man was bound by a release order issued by the court on October 5, 2021, not to communicate or be within 100 metres of the woman.

It was also learned that the man had been living with the woman since June 2022, and London Police Service issued a warrant for his arrest.

The 37-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a release order.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

The 38-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and charged with facilitating a breach of a release order.

She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of November 7, 2022.

Man arrested for bail violations

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On April 11, 2022, the court released the man with the condition to remain in his home except for specific reasons.

On September 28, 2022, at 10:04 p.m., police located the man lying on the sidewalk on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

He was arrested and transported to police headquarters.

The 30-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with failing to comply with a release order.

He was held pending a bail hearing.
