Woman charged with assault police
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a disturbance on Wellington Street in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the woman exited a vehicle and without provocation assaulted a woman in the area walking her dog.
The 71-year-old victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Upon being taken into custody, the woman kicked an officer.
The 40-year-old woman has been charged with assault, assault police and breach of probation.
She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man charged with domestic related offences
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a domestic disturbance in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, police learned that during a verbal argument, the man assaulted his common-law.
The 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
He was released pending a future court date of November 7, 2022.
Man charged with mischief
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning, police responded to a family dispute at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the man damaged lights inside his mother’s home.
The 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with mischief.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
