Police: B&E’s, thefts, intoxicated in public

Break, enter and theft

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday at approximately 1:40 p.m. officers attended a residence on Keil Drive in Chatham with regards to a complaint of a break and enter.

Sometime in the past 24 hours, unknown suspects forced entry into a residence under construction and stole equipment valued at $200.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday at approximately 1:50 p.m. officers attended a residence on Middle Line on Blenheim with regards to a complaint of a break and enter.

Sometime between June 5 and October 27, unknown suspects forced entry into a residence under renovation and stole building materials.

Woman charged with being intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 4:45 a.m. this morning, police responded to the report of an unwanted person at a residence on Churchill Street in Chatham, for a second time.

For her own safety, the intoxicated woman was taken into custody as she was unable to care for herself. 

The 26-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

She will be released when sober.
