WDSS students paint mural at Re:Find Charity Thrift Shoppe in Wallaceburg

Three WDSS art students teamed up with the Re:Find Charity Thrift Shoppe on a project, which displayed their talent and showcases love for the local community.

Corbin Arnold, Emma Toll, and Ely Hazen gathered recently at 216 Nelson Street, the new location for the shop, to complete a mural, with the words “local love” featured on the piece.

“The teens had a lot of fun and demonstrated much enthusiasm in their work,” Tracy Bridge Arnold, a teacher at WDSS, told the Sydenham Current.

“Re:Find recently relocated and were excited to have these students help brighten up the building by showcasing their talents. The students were happy to earn community service hours, which are a graduation requirement for Ontario students, through this project. The students met on several occasions to clean and sand, paint, sketch and tape and paint some more in order to complete this fabulous mural.”

Re:Find is a charity thrift shoppe, supporting the work of Wallaceburg Christian School and local charities.
