Crash in Wallaceburg leads to charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday, around 7 a.m. police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police believed the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

He also provided a false name to police.

The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

The 22-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with obstructing a police officer, operation while impaired, driving while under suspension, driving while prohibited, and refusing to comply with demand.

The man was held until sober then released with a future court date of November 21st, 2022.
