JOB DESCRIPTION
Requirements:
Expected to use diplomacy and sound judgement in all WAAC interactions.
Ability to accurately follow directions from Administrative Coordinator and/or WAAC Board of Directors
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Maintain confidentiality.
Proficient in use of computers including Microsoft Office Suite, experience with My Senior Centre software an asset.
Current First/Aid & CPR certification or willingness to obtain within first 3 months of the contract would be an asset.
Class G/G2 Drivers license an asset
Perform physical tasks as required. This may include but not be limited to shoveling, mopping, and carrying items up to 30 lbs

Tasks:
Program planning & scheduling of programming for seniors
Acquisition of program supplies as approved by Administrative Coordinator
Creation of weekly/monthly calendar
Under the direction of the Administrative Coordinator, liaise with community partners in the execution of a Trillium grant
Develop volunteer recruitment strategy
Coordinating and work with program volunteers/instructors
Members registration process, forms and renewals
Facility tours
Office assistance and organization as required
Cash handling and recording as required
Monitoring of equipment and building maintenance
On-going communication with Administrative Coordinator, greeting visitors, providing excellent customer service, and answering the phone.
Filing, typing, photocopying, etc. of Centre-related information.
Retrieve and open mail; file and disseminate accordingly.
Enact all necessary COVID protocols
Responsible for collection of membership fees, rental fees and any day-to-day collection of monies, ensuring appropriate documentation is accurately completed, including issuing of receipts
Set up for meetings, bookings, programs, and activities as required and directed.
Support member requests as they come in-either over the phone or in person
Provide accurate records for Administrative Coordinator
Support special events and functions as requested

Qualifications
Grade 12 Diploma required
College Diploma in Sports and Recreation Management or similar an asset
Experience in Customer Service an asset
