Impaired driving in a stolen vehicle in St. Clair Township

OPP officials allege: A traffic complaint led to the arrest of an impaired driver operating a stolen vehicle in St. Clair Township.

On June 29, 2025, at approximately 7:25 p.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on St. Clair Parkway.

Officers located the vehicle and driver on St. Clair Parkway near the community of Mooretown.

Further investigation determined that the individual was operating a stolen vehicle reported out of London.

As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old London man was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

– Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

– Dangerous operation

– Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000

– Mischief – destroys or damages property

The accused was held in police custody pending a bail hearing and has since been remanded into custody. They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 4, 2025, in the City of Sarnia.
