Man arrested for breach of probation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 1:14 p.m., police responded to Elgin Street in Wallaceburg to investigate reported suspicious activity.

Police arrived and located the man in the area.

The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for not following a curfew condition of his probation order.

He was arrested.

The 31-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters and was held pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for bail violations

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 7:04 p.m., police were notified the man was violating his conditional release by not remaining in his residence.

The man had been placed under house arrest and was supposed to remain at a specific address.

Police investigated and found the man at an address not included in his release order.

The 34-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters.

He was held pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for intimate partner violence offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11:54 p.m., police responded to a domestic disturbance on Fifth Street in Chatham.

Upon arrival, police located the man exiting the building.

When asked to confirm his identity, the man denied his identity.

Through investigation, police learned the man and the woman engaged in a verbal argument.

The argument escalated when the man pinned the woman on the floor and assaulted her, causing physical injury to her face and head.

The 25-year-old Toronto man was arrested and charged with obstructing a police officer, assault and two counts of assault causing bodily harm.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
