Man arrested for intimate partner violence

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 10:47 a.m., police responded to McGeorge Street in Blenheim for a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, police learned the man had entered the home and kicked a hole in the wall.

The man was bound by a release order with conditions not to attend the address and was wanted on an outstanding warrant for bail violations.

The man was located a short distance away and arrested.

Upon a search, incident to arrest, the man was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl.

The 40-year-old Blenheim man was charged with mischief, two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking and two counts of possessing a controlled substance.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 12:53 p.m., police responded to King Street West in Chatham for a break-and-enter.

Through investigation, police learned the man broke the front windows of a business and began removing items.

He exited the store and threw the broken glass at a nearby vehicle.

He jumped on the hood of a second vehicle and caused damage to the body and windshield.

The man was arrested as he began damaging a third vehicle.

The 27-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with break and enter and three counts of mischief.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Man and woman arrested on outstanding warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 1:31 p.m., while on general patrol, police located the man and woman on Canal Street in Tilbury.

Officers recognized both from previous incidents and learned there were warrants for their arrest.

The 49-year-old Tilbury man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with a probation order.

He was released with a future court date of February 7, 2023.

The 30-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.

She was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Woman arrested for intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 16, 2023, at 1:37 a.m., police responded to Park Avenue in Chatham for a disturbance.

On arrival, police located a woman yelling and screaming.

The woman was intoxicated and unable to care for herself.

The 32-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters.

She will be held until she is sober.
