Pancake breakfast a success for Wallaceburg Minor Baseball, 50/50 winner donates proceeds back to dugout fund

The pancake breakfast fundraiser held by the Wallaceburg Minor Baseball Association at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18 on Saturday, March 4, 2023 has been deemed a success.

Organizers say their 50/50 raffle raised a total of $800.

“Our hearts our so full as we share the news that the winner has donated their portion back to the WMBA dugout fund,” Wallaceburg Minor baseball officials said on social media.

Representatives from the Legion Newt Richardson and Len Drouillard, along with Minor Baseball representative Kristan Blair pulled out ticket number 206318.

“We are so grateful for such a supportive community,” baseball officials said.

“We couldn’t be happier with the success of today. Thank you Warriors, and Wallaceburg for all of your support! What a great start to the 2023 baseball season!”

This fundraiser was held to help build dugouts at one of the Glen Mickle diamonds in Wallaceburg, the home field for Wallaceburg’s fastball league.
