Mary Margaret Murphy passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of the late Henry Raymond (1979) and Melvin Murphy (2016).
Loving Mother of Marjorie Raymond (Claire Wales), Mary Lou La Fleche, Gary (Janice) Raymond, Karen (Arnold) Kester, Sherry Raymond, Renée (Ryan) Pollock, Pat (Marianne) Murphy, Alan (Janice) Murphy, Elizabeth (Ray) Demers, Becky (Kevin) Smalls and Bradlee (Hillary) Murphy.
Cherished grandmother of 23 and great grandmother of 7.
Daughter of the late Gordon and Angela Johnston and dear sister of Dorothy (Pat) Johnston, Carrol (Jack) Warren (late Sam Iatonna), the late Catherine ‘Kaye’ and Larry Eansor, the late Joan and Don Cartier and the late Leo Johnston (Margaret Ann surviving).
Mary was a long-time member of the Sacred Heart CWL and enjoyed travelling, especially her winters in Florida and hosting family and friends along the river during the summer months.
Her family would like to give a sincere thank you to all the staff at Bluewater Health and St. Joseph’s Hospice for the comforting care given to Mary.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm.
Her Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Port Lambton) on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11am followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
