A 3-on-3 basketball tournament is being held at the Kinsmen gym in Wallaceburg on May 26 and May 27, 2023.
Entry for each player is $40 with proceeds going to the first place team and Hayden’s Hope Foundation.
“Each year we like to donate to a cause and in 2020 we chose Hayden’s Hope Foundation,” Nick Persyn, the event organization, told the Sydenham Current.
“Unfortunately, we were unable to have the tournament due to COVID-19 restrictions, and now after three years… we are excited to get back to what we love doing.”
Persyn said Hayden’s Hope Foundation was formed to honour Hayden Foulon and her fight against childhood cancer.
“Unfortunately, Hayden lost her battle at the very young age of seven,” Persyn said.
“Her mother Lindsay has started this foundation to help people like herself that have to endure the process of having a loved one with child cancer.”
