On June 1, 2023 at 7 p.m. in the Port Lambton Sacred Heart Church Hall the Knights of Columbus will be showing a Al Capone documentary about his Chicago Mob during the United States prohibition.
“At this fun event we invite you to share your stories about Al Capone’s illegal activities in our area,” Mike Bechard, one of the organizers, told the Sydenham Current.
“Rumour has it that he frequented the Sombra Grand Union Hotel, there was lots of bootlegging, police chases, escapes, and hideouts along the St Clair River. Please join us and share your stories about Al Capone.”
Bechard said the event is a free will donation, which all goes toward community needs.
