Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night around 9:55 p.m. emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on McNaughton Ave at Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.
The collision involved a car and a semi tanker truck.
The driver, a 23-year-old Wallaceburg woman was driving a vehicle containing four other occupants on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.
The vehicle entered onto McNaughton Avenue and struck a tractor trailer which was northbound on McNaughton Avenue.
The driver, along with a 24-year-old Wallaceburg man and a 24-year-old Wallaceburg woman, who were passengers, sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 25-year-old Dover Township woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a London hospital in critical condition.
The fourth passenger, a 22-year-old Wallaceburg woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported via ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
The driver of the tractor trailer sustained minor injuries and was transported via ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
The Traffic Management Unit has taken over the investigation.
