Shots heard in Tilbury, air pistol seized, man arrested for weapons dangerous

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police received a call for a man walking down Canal Street East Tilbury with a handgun.

The man left the area and returned 20 minutes later.

The second time the complainant heard several shots.

The area was contained and located the man in an apartment in the area.

The man was arrested without incident and transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters.

The gun involved in the incident was located and found to be an air pistol.

The man was charged with Possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose and released with a future court date of June 12,2023.
