CK Community Corn Hole Tournament taking place September 10

ComeTogetherCK is excited to announce the CK Community Corn Hole Tournament coming this September 10th! The event is being organized by a growing number of groups and they invite more businesses, families, and individuals from across the community to join the fun.

“We’re thrilled to spark this new event to Chatham-Kent to have fun and friendly competition with our neighbours,” said Brent Wilken, Executive Director of ComeTogetherCK, in a media release.

“We think this provides a prime opportunity for the community to come together and showcase CK’s spirit of collaboration and support for one another.”

Municipal officials say the tournament is open to all ages and skill levels, and the organizers are encouraging groups/organizations who thought they were too small to organize their own event or too big to get involved at the grass routes level to reach out to them.

They would love to share space, planning expertise and resources to help others bring their ideas to life.

“Corn Hole is the core activity that anyone can play or help plan and it’s so much more than that,” Wilken added.

“This is a community celebration. Music, theatre, art, food, karaoke, games, any expression! Think of this as both your and our collective blank canvas that day. If you have an idea, reach out to us, and we’ll work together to make it happen. I’m looking forward to seeing what CK creates.”

Mayor Darrin Canniff is also excited about the new event and commends the organizers for their hard work and dedication to bringing new and exciting activities to Chatham-Kent.

“I’m delighted that our community continues to foster events and activities that bring our community together. This tournament is a testament to the creativity and commitment of our residents, and I look forward to seeing it grow and become an annual tradition,” Mayor Canniff stated.
