Police: Impaired driving, failing to attend court, intoxicated in public

Man arrested for intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 4:23 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Marsh Street in Ridgetown.

Once on scene, police located the man and found him to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

The 67-year-old man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was held until he was sober.

Woman arrested for failing to attend court

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 7:42 p.m., police responded to Erie Street South in Wheatley for a disturbance.

Upon arrival, police located the woman and confirmed she was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The warrant for issued when she failed to attend court for assault, uttering threats, and mischief charges.

The 38-year-old Leamington woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters.

She was held pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for impaired driving

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 1, 2023, at 4:07 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Anger Street in Blenheim.

Upon speaking with the driver, the officer believed the man to be operating the vehicle while impaired.

The officer learned the man was before the courts with other impaired driving charges from two previous incidents.

The 21-year-old Blenheim man was arrested and charged with having a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending bail hearing.
