Megabus discontinuing stop in downtown Chatham

Megabus has notified the Municipality that due to the lack of ridership they will be discontinuing service at the downtown Chatham stop effective Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Megabus, operated by Trailways of New York, initially introduced a stop in Chatham in April 2023, running two trips per day, seven days a week along a route from Toronto to Detroit.

Megabus is currently exploring the potential for an alternate stop location in Chatham-Kent closer to the 401.

For travel to or from Windsor, London, or Toronto, VIA Rail service remains available.

RideCK provides transit service to the Chatham VIA Rail station using Route 3 (Southeast Loop) and Route 5 (Round the River Loop), as well as on-demand transit service evenings and Sundays, Municipal officials say.
