There is still time to submit feedback
“This is just a friendly reminder that the deadline for comments on Draft 1 of the Official Plan Amendment (OPA) is September 1, 2023,” said Anthony Jas, manager of planning services, in an email.
“The document is available on the process webpage and comments can be sent to anthonyj@chatham-kent.ca.”
Jas added: “We look forward to connecting with you again in the fall when we bring Draft 2 of the OPA forward for consideration by Municipal Council. A Public Hearing process will occur at that time, which will be the community’s next opportunity to submit input.”
A presentation was made in front of Municipality of Chatham-Kent Council on Monday, July 10, 2023 by the consultants hired for the secondary plan project.
A draft of the official plan amendment for the Wallaceburg southside secondary plan was also included in the Council package and was discussed at the July meeting.
Council unanimously approved a staff recommendation that comments received regarding the proposed secondary plan be referred to administration for consideration and potential revisions to the plan.
Council also approved that the final official plan policy and associated zoning regulations be presented for adoption at a future Council meeting.
