Police: Vehicle stolen in Chatham, bail violations

Stolen vehicle in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, officers responded to a call of a vehicle theft.

Sometime overnight, unknown suspects stole a black 2017 Ford Escape in the Michener Road area in Chatham.

The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plates CLDP 615.

Man arrested for bail violations

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 1:20 p.m. yesterday afternoon, an officer on general patrol in Tilbury, observed a man in the front yard of a residence he was known to be under court-issued release orders with a condition prohibiting him from attending this address.

The 44-year old Tilbury man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a release order, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and lodged pending a bail hearing.
