Thamesville’s Bent Tin Bakery sponsors all of PAWR’s cat adoptions for the month of August

Bent Tin Bakery in Thamesville has fulfilled their promise to sponsor all cat adoptions for the entire month of August, resulting in a heartwarming success story for the local community and its feline friends.

Owners Misty and Michael Bass, known for their dedication to animal welfare, have not only opened their hearts but also their wallets to ensure that cats and kittens found loving forever homes, Pet and Wildlife Rescue say.

Throughout the month of August, Bent Tin Bakery offered an extraordinary opportunity to adopters as they pledged to cover all adoption fees for cats and kittens if adopters paid a nominal fee of $50 per feline.

This act of generosity was inspired by Misty and Michael’s deep love for animals and their commitment to supporting the welfare of shelter animals, Pet and Wildlife Rescue officials say.

The response from the community was overwhelming.

Adopters flocked to the shelter, eager to take advantage of this exceptional offer.

As a result, an astonishing 126 cats and kittens found their forever families during the month of August.

These adoptions not only provided these animals with loving homes but also lightened the burden on the shelter, allowing them to focus on their mission of rescuing and caring for more animals in need.

Earlier this month Pet and Wildlife Rescue received a donation of $13,860 from Bent Tin Bakery.

“We are profoundly humbled by the extraordinary generosity and kindness shown by Misty and Michael,” said Myriam Armstrong, Director of Pet and Wildlife Rescue, in a press release.

“Their commitment to the welfare of animals is truly remarkable. This partnership not only resulted in many adoptions but also raised awareness about the importance of adopting shelter animals. We are immensely grateful for their support.”

Misty and Michael Bass, who are passionate animal lovers and avid fosters to shelter animals, expressed their joy at the successful outcome of the sponsorship program.

“We believe that every animal deserves a loving home, and we are thrilled to have played a part in helping these cats and kittens find their forever families,” said Misty Bass, in a media release.

“Our bakery has always been a place for community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back.”

Pet and Wildlife Rescue encourages those interested in adopting a pet to visit their facility or go to pawr.org and explore the wonderful cats and kittens still in need of loving homes.

Even though the special sponsorship has ended, the shelter continues its mission to find the perfect match for every cat in their care.

Pet and Wildlife Rescue is inviting businesses to become a part of this heartwarming sponsorship initiative and help more local animals find homes.
