Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday October 14, 2023, at 3:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on Bloomfield Road in Chatham involving three vehicles.
Two of the involved motor vehicles were travelling in opposite directions over the 401 overpass on Bloomfield Road when they collided.
Shortly after, a third motor vehicle was also travelling over the 401 overpass and struck one of the vehicles, causing a second collision.
A 37-year-old Ridgetown man was transported to the hospital for medical attention where he remains in critical condition.
Family members have been notified.
The names of all the drivers involved are not being released at this time.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Unit is currently investigating the collision.
