Family dispute leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Monday October 23, 2023, police were dispatched to the area of Richmond Street, Chatham regarding a family dispute between a father and son.

While investigating police found the father to be intoxicated by alcohol and unable to care for himself.

The 67-year-old Chatham man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and lodged into police custody until sober.

Man arrested on warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Monday October 23, 2023, at approximately 10:30 a.m., police observed a male party driving a small off-road type motorbike on the roadway on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

A stop was conducted and through investigation police learned the male was currently prohibited to drive and wanted on outstanding warrants.

The 40-year-old Wallaceburg man was cautioned and arrested for outstanding warrants, he was then transferred to police headquarters where he was later released with a future court date.
