An estimated $50,000 in damage was caused after a fire in Wheatley on Thursday evening, January 11, 2024.
“Station #20 – Wheatley and Station #19 – Tilbury were dispatched to 21104 Erie St South Wheatley for a fully engulfed structure fire just after 11 p.m. yesterday evening,” fire officials said in a media release.
“Upon arrival crews took a defensive attack extinguishing the fire in the abandoned home. An excavator was also brought to the scene to assist.”
Fire officials say there were no injuries and the cause is undetermined.
