With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Keith Richard Spencer on Tuesday, January 16, 2023 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance.
Born in Wallaceburg 83 years ago.
Son of the late George and Audrey Spencer (nee Walker).
Husband of Diane Spencer (nee Dawson) for 24 years. Step father of Susan Stewart Dalgety (Rusty).
Keith was a life long resident of Port Lambton.
He enjoyed the outdoors especially when golfing or fishing.
Keith worked for 38 years at the Glass Factory in Wallaceburg.
He was proud to have the distinguished honour of being one of the last Libbey Canada employees to close the plant.
Both Keith and Len Atkins shared the bittersweet day on November 30, 1999 where they closed the gates for the last time.
Keith was quoted in the paper saying on that day, “I wish it was Spring so I could go Golfing.”
Keith will be deeply missed by those that knew him.
He will be remembered privately.
