Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 19, 2024, at 4:46 a.m., an officer responded to Keil Drive South in Chatham to check on the well-being of a man who was reported standing in the middle of the roadway.
Officers located the man and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with an undertaking.
In December 2023, when the man failed to report to his probation officer, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The 41-year-old Chatham-Kent man was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date.
He is currently facing charges of failing to comply with a probation order and failing to comply with an undertaking.
