Ontario PC’s elect Chatham-Kent Councillor Steve Pinsonneault as their candidate for the upcoming by-election in Lambton—Kent—Middlesex

Over the weekend, local members of the Ontario PC Party elected Chatham-Kent Councillor Steve Pinsonneault as the party’s candidate for the upcoming by-election in Lambton—Kent—Middlesex.

Ontario PC officials say as a proud resident of Thamesville, Pinsonneault is well-known for his public service.

Since 2006, Pinsonneault has dedicated himself to the well-being of his community, serving as Councillor for Ward 3 East Kent on Chatham-Kent Council and he continues to help keep his community safe by serving as a volunteer firefighter, Ontario PC officials say.

“Steve Pinsonneault is the right candidate to stand up for the people of Lambton—Kent—Middlesex against the high-tax, low-growth policies of the Liberals and NDP,” said Michael Diamond, President of the Ontario PC Party, in a media release.

“As a member of the Ontario PC team at Queen’s Park, Steve will keep fighting to bring high-quality health care, good-paying jobs and better highways and infrastructure to southwestern Ontario.”

A small business owner, Ontario PC officials say Pinsonneault is passionate about creating new jobs and new opportunities in the skilled trades.

As a lifelong resident of Lambton—Kent—Middlesex, a dedicated husband and the father of three adult children, Pinsonneault is running to strengthen his community for future generations, Ontario PC officials added.

“There’s nothing more important than the health and prosperity of our residents,” Pinsonneault said, in a media release.

“I’m running with the Ontario PC Party in order to continue building the Wallaceburg hospital, create good-paying local jobs and fight to make life more affordable for the people of our community.”

Former MPP Monte McNaughton said as a long-serving local councillor, Pinsonneault has what it takes to “get it done for Lambton—Kent—Middlesex at Queen’s Park.

“Working alongside Doug Ford, Steve is the right candidate to attract highly skilled jobs, improve the safety of our local highways, and build our new hospital. I’ve seen Steve in action, and I know that his grassroots approach makes him the right candidate for our riding,” McNaughton said in a media release.

A date for a by-election has yet to be called.

However, the Provincial Government has until early April to schedule a date.

We’ll provide more details as they become available.
