OPP officials allege: Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision involving a sedan and farm equipment on Communication Road in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
Police responded to the crash, which occurred between Fairview Line and Maynard Road, at approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
The driver of the sedan was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, while the operator of the farm equipment was not hurt. Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Medical Services also attended the scene.
A 73-year-old man from Blenheim was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with driving while under suspension and careless driving.
The OPP say traffic safety remains a top priority and a key part of its public safety mandate, noting the force investigates thousands of motor vehicle collisions across Ontario every year, hundreds of which result in serious injury or death.
