Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is proud to share that the organization has been named one of Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity 2023 by Forbes business magazine.
CKHA was ranked #51 on the list out of 150 employers surveyed and placed sixth among 18 organizations in the Healthcare & Social category.
The list identifies the Canadian companies most dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion.
This year marks the second time CKHA has achieved a spot on the list having previously ranked #69 out of 150 employers in 2022.
“This achievement is a testament to CKHA’s continued focus on creating an equitable and safe workplace for its staff, physicians and volunteers. We are proud to have been included on Forbes’ list for a second time with an impressive 19-spot improvement from last year,” said Deb Crawford, Board Chair, CKHA, in a press release.
Forbes collaborated with market research firm Statista to compile the list by surveying approximately 12,000 Canadian workers at companies with at least 500 employees. (The government services sector was not included.)
Participants anonymously rated their companies based on criteria such as age, gender, ethnicity, disability and LGBTQ+ equality.
In addition to the survey, each company’s diversity-related best practices were analyzed.

While CKHA is pleased to see a 19-spot improvement from last year’s rankings, the organization continues strive for progress in a creating a diverse workplace that is welcoming, safe and inclusive for all.
