On Monday, February 4, 2024, Gwendolyn Jean Christian left us peacefully to be reunited with her beloved husband Harold Christian (2002).
Left behind to remember her always are her children Brian (Amy) Christian, Connie Christian (Gary Brejak), Renée (Christos) Daras and her beloved grandchildren Tracey (John), Brianne, Amy (Michael), Erin (Bill), Rhonda (Warren), Danielle (Darryl), Troy, Chlöe and the late Trevor.
Cherished great grandmother of 11 and great great grandmother of 7.
Daughter of the late John and Fleda McGee and dear sister of Gary (Patricia) McGee and the late Ellen (John) Smith, Marjorie (Doug) Daye, Russell (Margaret) McGee, Gail (Donald) Miles, Betty (Stewart) Smith and Don (Jean) McGee.
She will be remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Gwen was always known as a well put together, outgoing lady who was people oriented. This shows with her past involvement in the Women’s Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18, as a member of the Red Hat Ladies and as a long-time member of the Charlemont Free Methodist Church. During the years, she always enjoyed a good game of cards or could be found completing many a jigsaw puzzle.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 11am until the time of her funeral service in the chapel at 1pm.
She will be laid to rest beside her loving husband at Riverview Cemetery.
