Linda Lou Hendry (nee Whatmore), a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at Fairfield Park on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the age of 75.
Dearly beloved wife of Robert Patrick Hendry and cherished mother to Jamie Robert Hendry (Chris Collins).
Sister to Cynthia Thompson and Rebecca Whatmore.
Sister-in-law to Georgena MacNally and brother-in-law Maurice Goulding and aunt to Heather MacNally, Christopher Thompson, and Katherine Thompson.
Linda spent much of her career leading the Innovation Centre in Waterloo, working with hi tech startups and guiding budding entrepreneurs across Canada.
Linda was honoured when her work advocating for diabetes awareness and 50-year journey with the illness was recognized with the Lilly Insulin Journey Award, celebrating champions in the diabetes community who are dedicated to advancing diabetes management and care.
Linda was a kind and caring person who loved spending time in her garden, which she carefully cultivated to encourage flowers, birds and her beloved butterflies.
