Argument in Chatham leads to assault and mischief charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 8:30 p.m. on February 10, 2024 a man and women became involved in an argument which resulted in the woman being assaulted by the man.

The man also threw the woman’s phone damaging it.

Police were called and attended the Tweedsmuir Avenue West address in Chatham.

As a result of the investigation, the 39-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault and mischief under $5,000.

The man was transported to CKPS Headquarters and later released with a future court date.
