Small fire in the washroom at Wallaceburg’s laundromat (Photos)

Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Service officials say firefighters responded to a small fire in the washroom at 1002 Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg on Monday, February 26, 2024.

The location is the home of Wallaceburg’s laundromat.

Fire officials say Station #3 responded to the address just before 5:30 p.m.

“The fire was extinguished and the washroom was ventilated,” fire officials told the Sydenham Current.

There were no injuries and the cause of the blaze was undetermined.

A fire at the same location back in December of 2021 put the laundromat out of commission for a couple of years, but it recently reopened.
