Rollover crash in Dover leads to impaired driving charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 1, 2024, at 2:10 a.m., emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle rollover at Baldoon Road and Pioneer Line in Dover Township.

Upon arrival, the vehicle was located upside down in the ditch.

The driver and passenger were extracted and transported to the hospital for minor physical injuries.

Through investigation, officers believed the man driving was under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested.

The 53-year-old Chatham man was charged with impaired driving and failure or refusal to comply with a demand.

He was released with conditions and a future court date of March 8, 2024.

He was also issued a summons to attend Provincial Court for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
