Carol Toner

It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce that Carol Toner (nee Kallies) was reunited with her daughter Lori Bogaert (2023) on February 29, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 78.

Loving wife of Jim Toner and devoted mother of Lesa Horner (Larry), Stacy Johnston (Woody), Adam Toner (Renée) and Jason Toner. Cherished Gramma to Jolene Kridiotis (Charlie), Molly Bogaert (Garth), Jake Bogaert (Chelsea), Kallie Bogaert (Drew), Daisy and Allison Johnston, Malory Toner and Great gramma of Maddox, Ben, Harley, Jude Kridiotis, Etta Mae and Elsie Rose Bogaert.

She will be forever remembered by her chosen grandchildren Dylan Bogaert, Samantha Bogaert (Matt) and their boys, Reggie and Sully. Carol is the daughter of the late Mary Ellen and Walter Kallies and a dear sister of Gerry (Donna), Gary, Garnet (Donna) and the late Daryl (1934). Remembered fondly as a sister-in-law to Dianne Hassim (Gerry Wyant) (the late Ron), Paul (Claudia) Toner, Brian (Laura) Toner and the late Roy and Leslie Toner as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In Carol’s own words “I did my best to be kind, fair, understanding and compassionate. Faith, family and friends are the most important thing to me.”

Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11am with cremation to follow.
