The Chatham-Kent Hospice is currently recruiting for the role of executive director.
As the visionary leader for the organization, the Executive Director will advance Chatham-Kent Hospice’s mission to provide end-of-life care and grief support that nurtures relationships for all.
Building on the values of care, dignity, excellence, integrity, inclusivity, and collaboration, Chatham-Kent Hospice’s vision is to create a community where the best possible end-of-life care and grief support are available.
The Executive Director position was previously a shared role between Hospice and St. Andrew’s Residence, a neighbouring facility, partner and owner of the Hospice property.
Historically, St. Andrew’s and the Hospice utilized a shared service agreement that provides Finance, HR, Maintenance and Executive Director services.
“As Hospice and our services continue to grow and evolve, the Board has realized we have come to the point where the Hospice requires our own full-time Executive Director in order to meet our strategic objectives,” said Graham Kemble, current Chair of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Board of Directors.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible for the achievement of all strategic and operational goals of the organization.
This includes the overall oversight and leadership of services, operations, strategic planning, human and financial resources, information components, and identifying service needs within the organization’s mandate.
Until a full-time Executive Director is hired, Jessica Smith will continue in this role.
Jodi Maroney remains the Executive Director of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, the fundraising branch of the organization.
