Kent Cup of Curling held in Ridgetown

The Kent Cup of Curling took place on Saturday, March 16 with the Ridgetown Curling Club as hosts.

The Sydenham Community Curling Club from Wallaceburg fared well, as they were runners-up to Blenheim.

The Wallaceburg Ladies Team lead the way, winning their first game in a come-from-behind effort and handily won their second.

The Wallaceburg Mixed Team played well, with their first game tied after eight ends and losing on a draw to the button, and handily winning their second game.

The Wallaceburg Senior Mixed Team had a similar fate, losing their first game on the last rock and coming back and winning their second after six ends.

Although the Men’s Team played well, they met with some pretty competitive teams, with both games a losing effort.

Final results are as follows:

– First: Golden Acres Curling Club from Blenheim (pictured)

– Second: Sydenham Community Curling Club

– Third: Ridgetown Golf and Curling Club

– Fourth: Chatham Granite Club
