Jeffery Peter Kraayenbrink passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia and was welcomed to his heavenly home with a hug by Jesus and his mom.
In his early years Jeff grew up on the farm along the Sydenham River in Port Lambton and then later he was a resident of Wallaceburg.
For the last few years of his life he lived at the Wallaceburg Retirement Residence where he was able to enjoy and be a friend to the community of people who live and work there.
Everyone there embraced Jeff with love and care.
Born in April of 1967, Jeff was the son of John and Ina Kraayenbrink and the brother to Judy Depooter (Jake), Ron (Cindy), Dennis (Lynn) and Brian Kraayenbrink and many, many nieces and nephews.
Jeff will also be remembered by his many aunts, uncles and cousins from the Kraayenbrink and Vandendool families. Jeff was an avid sports fan.
He loved watching soccer and hockey and always rooted for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Jeff only just tolerated watching baseball so he could have a topic of conversation in the off season.
On summer evenings Jeff could be found playing or watching soccer in the parks in Wallaceburg or watching the boats go by on the St. Clair river in Port Lambton.
Jeff was a lifelong member of the Wallaceburg Christian Reformed Church and coveted the support and love of it’s members during his lifetime.
At this time we would like to thank the following people for the care of Jeff, the Wallaceburg CRC church, the Wallaceburg Retirement Residence staff, the Bayshore nurses, VON care, Dr. Kim and the hospice staff.
Your care of Jeff was selfless and so appreciated.
The celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 3, beginning with the graveside burial at Riverview Cemetery in Wallaceburg at 11 AM.
The memorial service will follow at the Wallaceburg Christian Reformed Church, 150 Bruinsma Avenue at 1 PM.
A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow at the church.
