Evelyn Wilbur (nee Patrick) celebrated her 96th birthday on earth then went to her eternal home.
Evelyn passed away with her family by her side on April 1,2024.
She is survived by son Patrick Wilbur (Denise), daughter Sharon Van Goethem (Wayne), grandchildren Tyler VanGoethem (Alana), Jennah VanDeven (Jason), Kyle Shephard, Tanner Heath (Katie), Summer Eastcott (Jaime), Charissa Morton, and Wesley Wilbur, and great grandchildren Jaxon, Jerek, and Emersyn Joy. Also survived by brother Glen Patrick. Predeceased her parents William Patrick and Florence May (nee Moody), and siblings Charlotte Hope, Lyla Elgie, Omer Patrick, Nellie Huey, Lloyd Patrick, Ruth Patrick, Esther Jardine, Carlyle Patrick, Wilma Peever, and Eileen Swing.
Evelyn served her Lord at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Chatham. Upon her retirement from McDonalds she volunteered for another 20 years at Bibles For Missions.
Evelyn’s passion was serving her Lord, and spending time with her grandchildren, and her greatest joy was her great grandchildren.
Family to receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:00am at Emmanuel Baptist Church (100 McNaughton Ave W, Chatham). Funeral to follow at 11:00am. Burial at Maple Leaf Cemetery will follow service and reception.
