Impaired driving charges laid in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 5:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on King Street West in Chatham.

The officer believed the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol and arrested him.

The man was transported to police headquarters for tests.

The 26-year-old Chatham man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He was released with conditions and a future court date of April 22, 2024.
