Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 1:26 a.m., police responded Longwoods Road in Chatham for a stolen vehicle investigation.
Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
The investigation revealed the woman was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle and had taken the vehicle without consent.
The 44-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and operating a motor vehicle while prohibited.
She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of May 6, 2024.
