Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 10:21 a.m., the man attended the Ontario Court of Justice on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.
Officers confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for a September 2023 assault investigation.
When the man was not located a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The 25-year-old Chatham man was transported to police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
He is currently facing the following charges: aggravated assault.
