Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11:14 a.m., police responded to Taylor Avenue in Chatham for an assault investigation.
Upon arrival officers learned on April 13, 2024, a verbal argument occurred between the man and the woman. T
he argument escalated when the man struck the woman with a beverage bottle, causing minor physical injury.
On April 14, 2024, the incident was reported, and the man was arrested.
The 42-year-old Chatham Kent man was charged with assault with a weapon.
He was transported to police headquarters where he was released with conditions and a future court date of May 27, 2024.
