Crash in Chatham leads to impaired driving charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 7:06 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of McNaughton Avenue East and Taylor Avenue in Chatham.

Officers believed the woman driving was under the influence of alcohol and arrested her.

She was transported to police headquarters for tests.

The 58-year-old Chatham woman was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

She was released with conditions and a future court date of April 29, 2024.
