Automated Licence Plate Recognition alert leads to charges for Blenheim man

OPP officials allege: On April 19, 2024, at approximately 1:45 p.m., an officer with the Chatham Detachment stopped a passenger vehicle on Communication Road near Park Avenue, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, following a licence plate status notification from the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.

As a result of the investigation, a 45-year-old from Blenheim was charged with:

– Driving while under suspension

– Use plate not authorized for vehicle
