911 hang-up call in Chatham leads to theft charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 6:37 a.m., police responded to Bloomfield Road in Chatham for a hang up 911 call.

Upon arrival, the officers located the man and the woman.

The officer confirmed the man, and the woman were wanted in relation to a January 2024 theft investigation in Chatham.

The man was also wanted for failing to attend court for other matters.

The 41-year-old Chatham woman was arrested a released with a future court date of May 13, 2024.

She currently faces the following charges: theft and possession of stolen property.

The 41-year-old Leamington man was arrested and released with a future court date of May 27, 2024.

He is currently facing the following charges: assault with a weapon, uttering threats, three counts of mischief, five counts of theft, and five counts of possession of stolen property.
