Failing to attend court charges laid in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 8:44 a.m., the man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself in to the police.

The man was wanted for failing to attend court in relation to a September 2023 theft investigation in Chatham.

The 44-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and released with a future court date of May 13, 2024.

He is currently facing the following charges: theft, possession of stolen property and failing to comply with an appearance notice.
